Item Intake — How It Works
If it's on our floor, it's in the system — same day, no exceptions
Any appliance at your store that is NOT in inventory — a trade-in, a working return, a street buy, a kept haul-away — gets logged the moment it hits the floor. The intake creates the record, alerts the office, and comes back to you as a printable price tag.
📱 1. Log It On Arrival
Salesperson
- Sales Portal → Item Intake. Pick your name — your email fills itself in.
- Pick the source type — the form asks the right questions for each (a street buy REQUIRES the seller's name and phone).
- Describe the unit, note its condition, and take both photos.
- Submit. The office is alerted and the unit is now on the Intake board.
💲 2. Item # and Price
Cheyenne
- Cheyenne enters the unit into Lightspeed POS, assigns the item number and price, and fills those on the Airtable card, marking it Entered in POS.
🏷 3. Your Tag Comes Back
Salesperson
- 📧 Automatic email to you with your unit's price tag link the moment Cheyenne finishes.
- Open the link on the store computer → print → tag the machine. It's now sellable.
The Ground Rules
- Same day means same day — an unlogged unit on the floor is invisible inventory.
- Street buys with no seller info don't get bought. Period.
- No tag email yet? The unit isn't priced — ask Cheyenne, don't guess a price.
