Test Fail — How It Works
Unit fails testing at the store? 90 seconds and it's tagged, logged, and headed home
When a unit on your floor fails testing — won't power, leaks, wrong noise — file a Test Fail. It logs the unit, alerts the office with photos, prints a warehouse-return tag, and emails you a receipt proving you filed it.
📱 1. File It
Salesperson
- Sales Portal → 📦 → Test Fail. Pick your name (email auto-fills), your store.
- Item number: 📷 scan the barcode on the sticker, or type it.
- Describe the problem in plain words. Photo of the unit is required; second photo optional.
🖨 2. Tag the Machine
Salesperson
- The confirmation screen shows Print Test Fail Tag — big ⚠ TEST FAIL ⚠ with RETURN TO WAREHOUSE and your store name.
- Print it, stick it ON the unit. It rides back to the warehouse wearing its paperwork.
✅ 3. The Record
Office / You
- Steve, Nikki & Cheyenne get the alert with your photos; the unit lands on the Test Fails ledger.
- 📧 You get a receipt email — your proof it was filed, keep it.
- After repair, the unit re-enters inventory through the technician's work order — not through your store.
The Ground Rules
- File it the day it fails — an untagged dead unit looks identical to a good one.
- The tag goes ON the machine, not on a clipboard.
- Your receipt email is your cover. No receipt = it didn't happen.
